Fellow Opus Gen2 – Electric Coffee Grinder

One grinder for practically every brewing method. The Fellow Opus 2 is designed to accompany you from your morning espresso to a V60 in the afternoon or a Cold Brew at the weekend. Its wide grind range allows you to work with different brewing methods without needing several grinders.

It features 48 mm steel conical burrs, larger than those found in the original Opus. This configuration allows for efficient and consistent grinding while reducing heat generation during grinding and helping to preserve the coffee's characteristics. The Fellow Opus 2 delivers consistent results both at the fine settings required for espresso and at the coarser settings used for filter coffee, French press or Cold Brew.

One of its key features is its stepless grind adjustment via a side dial. Unlike systems with predefined positions, it allows for very precise adjustments, which is particularly useful when looking for the ideal setting for espresso extraction. The grinder also includes an integrated visual guide with references for different brewing methods, making it easier to choose a starting point.

The Opus 2 also features an integrated ionizer that reduces the build-up of static electricity during grinding. This helps prevent ground coffee from sticking to surfaces and contributes to keeping your workspace cleaner. Its internal system is also designed to achieve minimal coffee retention, so that the amount of coffee you put in corresponds as closely as possible to the amount you actually grind.

Brewing is even more convenient thanks to its two magnetic ground coffee containers. The standard container has a capacity of up to 100 g and is designed for filter coffee and other brewing methods, while the dedicated espresso container has a capacity of 30 g and is compatible with 54 and 58 mm portafilters. Both containers attach magnetically to the grinder, making them easy to swap and helping to reduce spills when transferring the coffee.

Maintenance has also been designed with everyday use in mind. The burrs can be accessed without tools, allowing them to be easily removed for cleaning the inside of the grinder. Its simplified internal construction makes both regular cleaning and long-term maintenance easier.

With a 100 g hopper and 300 W of power, the Opus 2 offers enough capacity to prepare several doses while maintaining a relatively compact footprint. Its minimalist design, characteristic of Fellow, is made to stay on your countertop and naturally integrate into your coffee brewing setup.
